College to Career — Do you worry because students just don’t “get” the importance of professional conduct?
Webinars
Under-the-radar and time-honored strategies that place students ahead of the competition and into careers
Today’s job search is like driving on a single-lane road at rush hour — everyone’s heading to a single destination. A dazzling resume may open the interviewer’s door, but appearance and conduct can determine whether a qualified candidate lands on the company payroll or back home scouring the employment pages. The seminars below arm students with critical “soft skills” that boost confidence and increase comfort, giving a candidate a competitive edge.
These are available as college seminars or to any individual organization wishing to educate job seekers.

“Etiquette” Wit and Wisdom
It is my pleasure to recommend and endorse Janet Parnes’ professionalism, expertise, and responsiveness before, during, and after her etiquette presentation at the Business Etiquette Dinner at Framingham State University on December 1, 2016. Her preparation and presentation materials were excellent throughout the 2-hour meal.
The 90 attendees consisting of students, staff, administration, and local employers were thrilled with her presentation. Janet is an engaging presenter and we enjoyed her professional and pleasing speaking style. She answered a variety of audience questions and the evening flowed very nicely. The students noted that they liked the way Janet tied in her storytelling to the meal courses. Her “etiquette” wit and wisdom truly made this a special evening.
Presentation Hit Home!
As the students in our Leadership Fellows program are busy, we had to offer a seminar that would be well worth their time. Janet’s presentation about small talk and business dining more than fulfilled this requirement. Her presentation was entertaining and contained practical skills that are fundamental for building professional relationships. I knew the presentation hit home when students started practicing the conversation techniques as they left the hall. I would be happy to bring Janet back to offer this program to a wider student audience.
